You would be called with your names and your father’s names on the Day of Judgment, so give good (graceful) names to your children. (Abu Dawud)

There are several muslim names that are dominating present Muslim generations even though they hardly possess any good meaning, spirit or Islamic values. The so-called modern, fancy colorful and fashionable names are strange and bear no relationship with Islam. Moreover our ancestors have never used these names.
